I have been playing bones for 65 years and first picked them up at the age of 10. I play both hands sometimes 4 in each hand.
I grew up in Brockton, Mass. I currently live in Miami, Fla. I enjoy Dixieland, Irish music. My first set of bones were ebony wood. I also play orchestra drums. My grandchildren invite me to their schools to show their friends and to sing along with me as I play. The children are fascinated! I just turned 82 and am happy to show folks the bones and they enjoy listening.
