Fest Profile

I was born in Montreal, Quebec, and I first heard the bones being played in a traditional night at a bar around the corner. I then tried desperately to hear it again – but its player had disappeared. I later found out that there was a Quebecker called Bob Goulet who made his own bones. I somehow found his phone number and drove to his little home 2 hours away from the city. He taught me for one sitting, and ever since, I have been practicing it. Since it doesn’t belong to my own tradition, I try to teach what I know to other Quebeckers to keep the bones alive!
