Quick heads-up before we start!

We will be recording this Zoom session, because we want to be able to share the joy that the Rhythm Bones bring to all of us, with the rest of the world.

Video, audio, and images from this meeting may be used on the rhythmbones.com website, in our newsletter, or on our social media channels.

We want to make sure everyone is comfortable with this. By staying on the call, you’re giving us the thumbs-up to use the footage and audio. If you’d prefer not to appear, feel free to keep your camera off and mute your microphone—you can still drop your thoughts in the chat! We want to make sure that we give credit where credit is due. Let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

Technical Advice:

The default Zoom settings are optimized for human speech, which treats musical instruments as background noise and tries to suppress them. Change these settings before playing music :

  • Enable Original Sound for Musicians: Go to Zoom Settings -> Audio. Under Audio Profile, select Original sound for musicians. This disables Zoom’s echo cancellation and audio compression, preserving the full dynamic range of your instrument.
  • Turn on High-Fidelity Music Mode: Check this box under the original sound options only if you have a strong internet connection.
