- 3:00 to 4:00 PM Sightseeing cruise on the "Tom Sawyer".
- 5:00 to 7:00 PM RBS press conference, Crown Plaza Bar
- 7:30 to Midnight Bones prefest bub crawl through Laclede's Landing
FRIDAY- October 17, 2008
- 12:00AM to 8:00PM Bones Museum, Learning center, Market Place and Fest Registration.
Museum Room, Provincial House, South Campus, University of Missouri at St. Louis
- 2:00PM to 5:00PM Open House reception, boning, and banding together
Dorm lobbies and court yard, UofMo St.Louis. Hosted
by the "Dormers".
- 5:00PM to 7:00PM Optional group excursion to the "Delmar Loop",
two
Metro train stops away for diner and drinks. Or eat
On campus.
- 6:30PM to 7:30PM Bones U. presents Rhythm Bones 101 (History and
technique) for beginners. Team taught. Open to the
Public. Sigh up and acquire bones at the Museum room.
- 7:30PM to 10PM Bones Fest XII grand opening, Gill promenade, first
time presentations, production and rehearsals for our
Saturday public presentations.
- 10:00PM to 1:00AM Voluntary Bones pub crawl through Delmar Loop.
Metro train is the designated driver.
Saturday October 18, 2008
- 9:00AM to 8:00PM Bones museum, Market Place and Fest registration
open to the public all day. Museum Room, Provincial
House, UofMo-St.Louis.
- 9:00AM to 12 noon Bones University in session. Register at the Museum
Room for intermediate and advanced workshops, bones
playing, bones making and playing with Irish and
other Celtic music.
- 12:00AM to 2:00PM All aboard the Metro train from the South Campus
Station to Union Station. Bones Fest public show
(1:00 to 1:45) Directed by Walt Watkins. You may
purchase your lunch in the Union Station food court
or eat your sack lunch.
- 2:00PM to 4:00PM BF XII splits into two minstrel troupes. Troupe A
Marches to the Soldier's Memorial (4 blocks) for a
public show (show time, 2:30 to 3:00PM) Then we
March 12 blocks with the Bones Show banner down the
mall, through the Serra sculpture,
through Kiener Plaza, through the "Dred Scott"
Federal Court House, under the gateway arch and
to the Mississippi River front. There we will greet
Troupe B as they return from their river cruise with
much fanfare, flag waving, and bones playing.
Troupe B (boat) will leave Union Station by train
and auto and go directly to the river front and
board the "Tom Sawyer" for a 3 to 4PM river
cruise.
($10/adult, $5/child with group of 20 or more)
- 4:00PM to 4:30PM Group Photo under the Gateway Arch.
- 5:00PM to 7:00PM Open house and reception for all participants,
Hosted by our first class passengers at the Crown
Plaza Hotel.
- 8:00PM to 11:00PM Grand Bones Fest show open to the public ending with
a Hibben rhythm bones promenade.
- 11:00PM to wee hours Bones musical pub crawl for the young and foolish.
Sunday, October 19, 2008
- (we have a list of 4 churches within walking distance of UMSL.)
- 9:00AM to 11:AM Delicious brunch buffet complete with Starbucks
coffee served in the "Under Croft"
multipurpose
room. A fine fare thee well show!
- 1:00PM to 3:30PM Octoberfest riverboat cruise ($35/adult, $15/child)
Bone and Oomp pa pa down the Mississippi to the
sounds of a live German band and savor an authentic
German buffet.
